💗 Because Your Postpartum Matters
Your birth experience doesn’t end when your baby is born, the placenta must be birthed as well. Then the sacred window that follows—your postpartum—deserves just as much care, love, and nourishment. At Births at Home, we honor the ancient tradition of placenta preparation as a gentle, holistic way to support your healing, balance your hormones, and help you feel more grounded in the early weeks of motherhood.
✨ What Are Placenta Remedies?
The placenta is the incredible organ that nourished your baby during pregnancy. In many cultures, it’s revered as sacred and used as a powerful remedy to support the mother in her transition.

🧺 FAQs
Q: When should I book my placenta services?
A: Anytime during your pregnancy! I recommend booking by the third trimester to guarantee availability.
Q: How soon should the placenta be picked up after birth?
A: Within 12–24 hours is ideal. It should be double-bagged and refrigerated or kept on ice until pickup.
Q: Can I still encapsulate if I had a cesarean or hospital birth?
A: Yes! As long as your placenta is handled properly and not sent to pathology, I can work with it.
Q: Is it gross?
A: Not at all. The process is clean, respectful, and sacred. Many moms say they’re surprised by how beautiful it all feels.
